Did this as part of my course. I added some stuff to it like bouncing on enemies and mushrooms and stuff. couple of sprites are mine too. Limited sound effects atm.
Warning, the game gets hard. Some jumps appear really impossible but they're not.
I didn't put a start screen or an end screen so when you get to the end of lv 3 (if you can get there) you'll just be staring at an empty space with some coins.

level 2 has an impossible jump: after you have climbed to the top of the 'pit' you start in as you can't jump across due to the ceiling arresting the jump too much.

It's in the description of the game. it's not an impossible jump. just a very very hard one. probably a single frame jump. level 3 has really hard jumps too. I've tested all jumps multiple times though so I'm sure they're not impossible. just very very hard to time. It was designed specifically like that as it only has 3 levels and I was trying to see how hard I could make some sections for prototyping.

just tried it on my home-pc ... on this computer the jumping has tanked even worse, so I'm suspecting that you have tested this game on only one computer and that the problem I was having wasn't 'bad jumping' but bad lag-handling on anything that has different specs than those oof that one specific computer.

I'm not sure about that one nether as my friend who has a terrible laptop played the game and can make the jump too.
It might be possible that your computer is just not going through the specific frame needed for the jump but I really doubt it. I think it's just a really hard jump. I struggle to make the jump myself and i've tried it hundreds of times.
